IMMIGRATION LEGAL SERVICE
Standard non-detained immigration court removal defense (through IJ decision)
For a non-detained person defending an active removal case before an Immigration Judge. The appropriate relief and hearing strategy depend on the Notice to Appear and available facts.

STARTING YOUR CASE
What this service involves
We begin by reviewing your immigration history, eligibility, documents and goals. This helps us determine whether the standard service described here fits your situation and what evidence will be needed.
PREPARING YOUR RECORD
Typical documents we review
The exact documents depend on your history, eligibility and the filing requirements.
- Notice to Appear and hearing notices
- Available immigration and criminal history
- Records relevant to relief from removal
LEGAL PREPARATION
How we prepare the case
We evaluate the charges and potential relief, prepare covered court filings and evidence, and represent the non-detained matter through the Immigration Judge's decision as agreed.
We explain the filing plan and any case-specific concerns before the representation begins.
FLAT-FEE SCOPE AND LIMITATIONS
What is included and what costs extra
Flat attorney fee for one standard non-detained removal-defense case in Immigration Court, through the Immigration Judge's decision. Includes Notice to Appear (NTA) and removability analysis; review of available immigration court records; defense strategy; written pleadings; one specified, ordinary application for relief; supporting declarations and evidence; routine court filings; routine master calendar hearings; preparation for one individual (merits) hearing; and attorney representation at that one individual hearing. Remote appearances are provided only when expressly authorized by the Immigration Court. Excludes government fees; translations; expert reports; extensive record retrieval or FOIA; detained representation and bond proceedings; additional or complex forms of relief; separately filed USCIS applications; travel and separately arranged in-person court appearances; Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA) or federal appeals; post-decision motions; and unusually extensive litigation or additional merits hearings. Scope, covered relief, and court appearances are confirmed in a written representation agreement after case review. Where applicable, responses to Requests for Evidence (RFEs) relating to the covered matter are included in the flat attorney fee. Any USCIS Notice of Intent to Deny (NOID) response arising from this covered application or representation, like a related Request for Evidence (RFE) response, is included in the stated flat attorney fee at no additional attorney charge.
The signed representation agreement controls the exact scope. Government fees and outside costs, where applicable, are not included unless expressly stated.
COMMON QUESTIONS
Before we begin
Are government filing fees included in the price?
No. The displayed amount is the attorney fee. USCIS, consular, medical, translation and other third-party charges, when applicable, are separate unless the specific scope expressly says otherwise.
Will you charge an extra attorney fee if USCIS sends an RFE or NOID?
No additional attorney fee is charged for RFE or NOID responses arising within a Green Chavez matter already covered by a flat-fee representation agreement. The separately priced RFE and NOID services are only for new clients with applications filed independently or by another firm.
How do I find out whether my case fits this standard fee?
Contact our office for a case-specific eligibility and scope review. If your situation falls outside the listed service, we will explain the additional work and fees in writing before you hire us.
